The Global Recycling Standard (GRS) is an international, voluntary, and complete product standard that addresses supply chain vendors' implementation of product recovered/recycled ingredients, chain of custody control, social responsibility and environmental specifications, and chemical restrictions, and is certified by a third-party certification body. The purpose of the GRS is to meet the requirements of enterprises for the recovery/recycling of products (both finished and semi-finished) for validation, as well as validation of social responsibility, environmental practices and chemical use related activities. The objective of the GRS is to ensure that the claims made on the relevant products are correct and that the products are produced under good working conditions and with minimal environmental impact and chemical impact.
