IML design matters

1) Injection thickness: It is recommended that the uniform meat thickness is not less than 1.2 mm (1.0 mm without Film)

2) Film thickness specifications are: 0.1 mm, 0.125 mm, 0.175 mm, 0.2mm

3) Film single-chip printing, more suitable for small and diverse planning occasions

4) The appearance color is bright silver. Metallic colors such as electroplated silver are not suitable for this method, and the film is easily formed due to high and low temperature peeling

5) The size of the outer edge of the film has a positive relationship with the size of the mold cavity, too small or too large will cause the mold cavity to be injected and stretched and cause marginal leakage

6) The minimum diameter of the hole on the Lens is Φ1.0 mm

7) The orientation of Lens P.L is generally at the bottom of the Lens. If the draft angle is problematic, it can be positioned at 0.2 mm from the bottom edge of the film.

8) The draft angle of Lens is generally 3º

9) Regarding the difference in the appearance of Lens, Film must be shaped beforehand;

10) Planning of rounded corners: The appearance of IML cannot form a sharp appearance. The general appearance should prevent sharp corners. Therefore, there should be no sharp corners in the planning. The corners of the product must have a rounded corner (at least 0.3R required)

11) Hemming problem: Hemming refers to the marginal part of the joint between the titanium and the plastic. This margin cannot be very neat after injection molding. Therefore, when planning the application of IML products, we can block the margin with plastic parts

12) Surface wear resistance requirements: 2H or more
